Shore Road - Time to Act

This Waste to Energy Plant has Outline Planning Consent. As it stands only reserved matters have to be considered.

We had a very successful meeting about it on 16th April. It became clear that lots of people have signed a petition against this development. While it lets our Councillors know about the strength of feeling in the city a petition will only count a single objection. To register your objection (or support) you have to write giving your own name and address and quoting 09/00348/REM as soon as possible to:-

PKC Planning, Head of Service Roland Bean, Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull Street, Perth, PH1 5DG

or send an e-mail (again quoting 09/00348/REM) to environmental services at es@pkc.gov.uk

You can also register comments on line until 29th April at PKC's planning website

You should use the words "I object" but to carry any weight with Development Control (or potentially a Reporter if it goes to appeal) you should focus upon the 'planning merits' of the case.

Please see the attached link to the RCIS website

Our letter of objection contains relevant planning material considerations and breaches.

Word file: Letter of Objection from Community Council April 2009 (68KB)

On the Council's website Material Considerations are listed

Word file: List from PKC Website April 2009 (62 KB)

You can select those which worry you or which you consider to be important from our letter or from the Council's List and use them in your own correspondence.

You can also obtain a pro-forma letter from Mr Alastair Anderson of Anderson Beaton Lamond, 31 Kinnoull Street (aha@abl-law.co.uk)
