Incinerator Noise Test

We had a noise test carried out at Shore Road on Friday evening. We have produced lots of pictures to try to let the public see what the Incinerator at Shore Road will look like. Of course appearance is not the only worry.  This was an attempt to let the public know what the Incinerator, which will run 24 hours a day, will sound like.
The noise simulation ran from 7.00 p. m. until it was switched off at 8.06 p. m. Within 45 minutes neighbours had complained and the Police appeared.  The Police were quite reasonable once the reason for the test was explained but asked for it to stop. As responsible citizens the technicians complied and operations were closed down.
