Murray Royal Hospital Contractor In Receivership

Torith, the contractor undertaking the Enabling Work at the MRH site has gone into receivership and all work on site has ceased. Ken Armstrong (Director of Operations, NHS Tayside) said that the impact of Torith's demise was minimal as they had completed nearly all of the Enabling Work and had in fact been paid.  The remaining work is essentially to move their equipment etc off site and so this should not have an adverse impact on the overall project.

We had understood that Torith were a month late and not due to complete until January 2010 so it is good to be told that they were in fact ahead of schedule.
