Shore Road Incinerator - Council Meeting

Perth & Kinross Council is to hold a specially convened meeting of the Full Council on Wednesday 24 March 2010 at 2pm to consider a report on the possible revocation of the outline planning permission for a waste to energy facility at Shore Road.

The outline planning permission was granted to Holden Environmental Ltd in 2006. Detailed planning application was refused by the Council's Development Control Committee late last year.

Since then Council officers have been working on a report. Independent legal advice has been sought and the Scottish Government has also been consulted to clarify the process surrounding revocation and the issues relating to it.The report will be submitted for consideration at a special meeting of Full Council on 24 March 2010.

Should the Council decide to revoke, and any affected person objects, the Scottish Government would require to hold a hearing before confirming the order.
