Pavement Parking

Pavements around our area are being broken by cars being parked on them. The pavements on St Mary's Drive, Corsie Avenue etc. have just been renewed and are already broken in places by this thoughtless behaviour.

It is illegal to park on a pavement bordering a road with double yellow lines even if the vehicle is totally on the pavement.

Parking on pavements also causes great difficulty for disabled people, those in wheelchairs and those with prams.

Our community police constables are going to be keeping an eye on this and speak to vehicle owners in the first instance.
