My involvement in Perth stretches back to 1970 but, after a period away, my wife and I have now settled in Perth. I have always been strongly involved in the community and in Perth through Round Table, Rotary and the rugby club. I believe strongly that one should contribute to the community in which one lives, to preserve the best and improve where possible. Thus far I have been involved in the Community Council through the Murray Royal Working Group.

Much of my time has been spent overseas, but Perth has been my homebase for the last 23 years. Perth is a great place to live, work and retire in. I believe that the Community Councils have done much to nurture the Fair City's beauty and pleasant environs. I'm proud to have the opportunity to add support to the good work that is being done by this community council.

Elected 1998, Chairman 2006-7, Vice Chairman 2007-8, co-opted 2009 to continue with the Murray Royal Working Group and help with the Shore Road Incinerator objection. Resigned 2010 but will still be available for help and advice. He remains a Tree Warden and a member of the Kinnoull Hill Users' Group.

The following people are Perth & Kinross Councillors for the Bridgend, Gannochy and Kinnoull area.
Peter Barrett
Peter moved to Perth in 1999 and lives at the heart of the Barnhill and West Carse ward near the top of Kinnoull Hill. He keeps in touch with local residents through regular Focus newsletters delivered by local volunteers. Peter is married with two teenage sons who attended the local Kinnoull Primary School and have now moved to Perth High School. Peter has worked as Campaigns Manager for the Scottish Liberal Democrats and as Constituency Organiser for the Lib-Dem member of the Scottish Parliament for Mid Scotland and Fife. Before working in politics Peter was a manager with a national builder's merchant. Peter's hobbies include hill-walking, crosswords and curling.
Heather Stewart
Heather serves on the Community Safety Committee, Housing and Health Committee, Licensing Committee, Perth & Kinross Licensing Board and Common Good Fund Committee (Perth).
She represents the Council on Horsecross, Perth Theatre and Concert Hall Executive Committee, Perth Civic Trust and Perth Prison Visiting Committee.
Heather worked previously as a retail manager, shop owner and an opera singer. She is a member of the Executive Committees of both Shopmobility Perth and Murray Royal Walled Garden.
